Andreea Cacovean
An outspoken gymnast
Many remember, not just her gymnastics, but her character. Fans caught a glimpse of this at a 1994 Dual Meet between Romania and the USA, where she had an argument with Octavian Belu after her floor routine. A back injury in 1996 caused the retirement of Andreea Cacovean. Although she did not do gymnastics anymore, she remained in Deva to attend school and helped out with the younger girls training. She then enrolled at the University of Cluj in 1997.
